Frequently asked questions
What is the infuser made from? Food-grade stainless steel. It is rust-resistant, hygienic and safe for everyday use, and it is built to last through countless cups rather than a season.
Why use this instead of tea bags? Tea bags are usually filled with the dust and fannings left over after processing, and many are sealed with plastic that ends up in your cup. An infuser lets you use whole loose leaf botanicals, see exactly what you are brewing, and control how strong it gets.
How do I use it? Fill it with a single botanical or a blend, sit it in your cup and pour over hot water. Let it brew for at least five minutes, or until the infusion reaches the strength you want, then lift the infuser out.
How do I clean it after use? Empty the leaves out and rinse it under warm running water straight after brewing, before anything dries on. A soft brush will clear the mesh if you have been using fine blends. Let it dry fully before closing it so it stays fresh.
Will it work with all of your loose leaf teas? Yes, every single brew and blend we sell. Finer blends like Skin Glow Dust will leave a little sediment, which is normal and harmless, and a quick rinse clears it.
